God’s word says, “…you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child…”Ecclesiastes 11:5 ESV. Similarly, the NAB reads, “Just as you do not know how the life breath enters the human frame in the mother’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, who is working in everything.”
This verse implies that a window exists between the formation of the zygote at conception and the onset of a human being with a God-breathed soul. This can be enormously helpful when dealing with any unwanted pregnancy from say incest, rape, etc.
As radical as it sounds, this window allows for a biblically honoring form of abortion (or contraception if you will) that does not constitute the murder of an unborn person.
